Course Curriculum
Our Reformer Pilates Course is a 100+ Hour hour course with a combination of online content and 4-day in person to teach you everything you need to teach Reformer Pilates.
ONLINE + SELF DIRECTED LEARNING
- Online Modules with access to 80+ Reformer Pilates Moves, approximately 35 hours.
- 35 Hours Group Classes and Observation at SO studios or others.
- 30 Hours Independent Practice Teaching and Cueing.

IN PERSON DAYS
- 36 Contact Hours in Studio

Do I have to have experience on the Reformer before doing this course?
We get this a lot! The answer is no. As part of our reformer instructor course, you would need to complete group classes hours and self practice teaching and learning, which would make it sufficient, combined with practical learning. As part of the course, you will get experience on the reformer.
How long do I have access to the course?
After enrolling, you have unlimited access to your online modules for a total of 6 months, We suggest writing notes and the exercises down so you can keep them with you forever!
I want to learn more about anatomy!
Don't fret! We have a spectacular anatomy course releasing soon. As part of the Mentorship Programme, you will get a discount to the anatomy course.
What support will I get during the course?
You can ask questions at any time on our facebook page The SO Academy (immediate lifetime access to our Facebook community) and have any of your question answered by your teaching team, trainees and graduates. You would also get access to communication to your teaching team closer towards the course date.
How is the training structured?
Your training does not only consist of the online materials. As part of the programme, you will be required to do some self training and practice hours, attend group class for observation and practice hours, along with your practical in person days.
How big are our courses?
We believe in quality over quantity. This means that we train in small cohorts to ensure that you have enough 1-1 attention with your teaching team.
Every cohort will house a max of 10 attendees, and every cohort with more than 6 attendees, we will have a Head Instructor & a Teaching Assistant available to ensure the ratio of teaching team to attendees is smaller and you are able to ask all your questions and get help quick during your practical days.
What currency is this training priced in?
We offer NZD pricing at checkout. You can choose to pay in full up front (and receive a discount) or on a 6 month payment plan.
Can I teach after finish the course?
Yes! Once you finish your hours and submit them for checking & attended your In Person Days, you will be ready to teach. Our graduates teach locally in NZ as well as globally after completing their teacher training course.
